This Thursday, July 15th at 5PM EDT, I am participating in a reading series called Strong Women, Strange Worlds, which seeks to showcase the work of women and nonbinary authors. However, you can still buy the book through them, or better yet, order through your local bookstore or a site like w ww., which supports independent bookstores. Apparently this is an issue with their algorithm and seems to be beyond their ability to fix. If you go to Amazon, you will note that the reviews for Sea Wolf and the editorial comments may still refer to Jack London’s classic book, The Sea Wolf. Her novel Thorn was named 2019 LGBT+ Book of the Year by Foreword Reviews. She was the inaugural recipient of the Sandra Moran Scholarship for the Golden Crown Literary Society’s Writing Academy, which she now directs. To celebrate Sea Wolf, I have some events coming up I hope you will join me for!Īlso, as a side note, despite months– months–of work on my behalf from my publisher and distributor, we still have not fully resolved the Jack London kerfuffle. ANNA BURKE holds degrees in English Literature and Studio Art from Smith College, and an MFA from Emerson College. It’s that time again–book release month! Sea Wolf is officially out July 27th, though Bywater will be having their exclusive sale on their website in the two weeks leading up to release.
